The Warrior Pathway Program
Full-ride scholarships to be awarded to local students completing the program, equating up to $4.5 million in scholarships
The Engelstad Foundation partners with Western High School and the mikeroweWORKS Foundation to support the Warrior Pathway Program, a four-year initiative that prepares students for long-term success beyond graduation. Through sustained funding, the program embeds work ethic education, career readiness training and access to trade-focused opportunities directly into the high school experience. Students who complete the pathway earn access to full-ride scholarships for postsecondary programs of two years or less, opening doors to stable, high-paying careers. This ongoing investment strengthens attendance, engagement and workforce outcomes in a community where opportunity gaps have historically been significant.
Opportunity Village
The Engelstad Foundation plays a foundational role in Betty’s Village; an inclusive residential community developed in partnership with Opportunity Village to support adults of all abilities. The Foundation’s long-term support helped bring this multi-phase vision to life, creating thoughtfully designed housing that promotes independence, dignity and peace of mind for residents and their families. Betty’s Village offers accessible living spaces alongside shared community amenities that foster connection and belonging. This partnership reflects a lasting commitment to improving day-to-day living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern Nevada.
4E
Through its partnership with 4E and the Healing Hearts program, the Engelstad Foundation supports the integration of a fully trained facility dog into the daily life of Betty’s Village residents. This ongoing collaboration brings therapeutic companionship, emotional support and routine stability to adults with Down syndrome living within the community. The presence of a facility dog enhances social interaction, reduces anxiety and contributes to a more nurturing and inclusive environment. By investing in this program, the Foundation reinforces its belief in holistic approaches that improve quality of life through connection and care.
Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building
The Engelstad Foundation is a key philanthropic partner in the creation of the Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, helping advance medical education for generations to come. Its sustained investment supported the development of a state-of-the-art facility that doubled the medical school’s capacity and expanded hands-on training in clinical skills, simulation and anatomy. Located in the Las Vegas Medical District, the building strengthens Southern Nevada’s healthcare pipeline and physician workforce. This partnership reflects a long-term commitment to improving medical research, education and access to care across the region.
Dignity Health
The Engelstad Foundation partners with Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican to sustain the R.E.D. Rose Program, ensuring access to early breast health detection for uninsured and underinsured individuals. Through ongoing support, the program provides no-cost screenings, diagnostic services, patient navigation and financial assistance for those undergoing treatment. Since its inception, the program has served thousands of women and men, helping detect breast cancer earlier when outcomes are strongest. This enduring partnership removes financial and systemic barriers to care in one of the nation’s most underinsured regions.
Cristo Rey St. Viator College Preparatory
The Engelstad Foundation maintains a strong partnership with Cristo Rey St. Viator College Preparatory to expand college access for students from underserved communities. Through continued investment, the Foundation helps close financial gaps that can prevent students from enrolling and persisting in higher education. This support allows graduates to begin college without the burden of unmet tuition costs, empowering them to focus on academic success and long-term career goals. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to educational equity and to supporting students from high school through college completion.
